Description/ features: The colour tone selection and visual perception of our Desert look effect is intended to represent an individual sand texture.
Fields of application: Shops, furniture and interior fittings.
How to – Desert look
- Substrate material: Foil-coated MDF
- Edge and profile sanding: 150 - 180 grit (dust removal)
- Foil sanding: 320 - 400 grit (dust removal)
- Apply 150 - 180 g/m² Hesse EASY-FILL DP 4788-9343, mixing ratio (by volume) 100 : 15 with PU Hardener DR 4096-0002, adding 10 % Thinner DV 4900 to the lacquer/ hardener mixture
- Drying: 5 h / 20 °C, preferably 16 h / 20 °C
- Filler sanding: 320 - 400 grit (dust removal)
- Apply 120 - 150 g/m² Hesse PU Desert look DB 46031-8001, mixing ratio (by volume) 10 : 1 with PU Hardener DR 4070, adding 10 - 15 % Thinner DV 4900 to the lacquer/ hardener mixture
- Drying: 5 min / 20 °C
- Apply 60 - 100 g/m² Hesse PU Desert look DB 46031-8001, mixing ratio (by volume) 10 : 1 with PU Hardener DR 4070 using a cup gun with reduced spray pressure (0.5 - 1.0 bar). The spray pressure, selection of spray nozzle size and processing viscosity influence the particle size and thus the effect.
- Drying: 30 min / 20 °C
- Apply 60 - 100 g/m² Hesse PU Desert look DB 46031-8008, mixing ratio (by volume) 10 : 1 with PU Hardener DR 4070 using a cup gun with reduced spray pressure (0.5 - 1.0 bar). The spray pressure, selection of spray nozzle size and processing viscosity influence the particle size and thus the effect.
- Drying: 30 min / 20 °C
- Apply 60 - 100 g/m² Hesse PU Desert look DB 46031-1013, mixing ratio (by volume) 10 : 1 with PU Hardener DR 4070 using a cup gun with reduced spray pressure (0.5 – 1.0 bar).
