DU 44099 is an ideal transparent, high gloss lacquer for coatings on natural wood already pre-primed to be closed-pore with a very low tendency to sinkage. This product has good body and dries to be very brilliant and high gloss, combined with optimal sanding / polishing properties.

Areas of application

Processing information | When being used as a flame-retardant coating material for seagoing vessels, the maximum total application amount in wet film is 120 g/m². Hesse polyurethane Brilliant lacquer can be polished and buffed after drying for at least 3 d / 20 °C. |
Special notes | This product is not suitable for use on bleached surfaces! When being used as a flame-retardant coating agent for seagoing vessels in accordance with SOLAS 74 Reg. II-2/3, II-2/5, II-2/6 and X/3, as amended, IMO Resolution MSC.36(63)-(1994 HSC-Code) 7, IMO Resolution MSC.97(73)-(2000 HSC-Code) 7, IMO MSC/Circ. 1120, this product may only be combined with other approved and technically suitable products. For top coating of coloured lacquer surfaces and non-wood stained substrates, we recommend Hesse FANATASTIC-BRILLANT DU 48799. Pre-priming is possible depending on the desired surface and substrate, e.g. with Hesse PU Primer DG 4720-0001 (as isolating primer), 4768-0004, DG 4768-0009 and DG 4760.“A risk assessment was undertaken according to Directive 2014/90/EU, Annex II, Section 3. This coating does not pose a physical risk to health nor a risk to the environment when cured and dried.” |
