Procedure example

Contract installation of a glass partition with a marble-effect coating

Surface preparation: carefully clean and remove grease from the glass using Hesse Cleaning thinner ZD 101

Basecoat: 1 x 120 - 140 g/m² Hesse PU Special basecoat DG 4744, mixing ratio (by volume) 5 : 1 with PU Hardener DR 4076-0001 and the addition of 5 - 10 % Thinner DV 4994 in relation to the lacquer/hardener mixture

Drying: at least 16 h / 20 °C

Prepare the desired colours for the marbling as follows: Hesse UNA-COLOR DB 45245-(colour tone), mixing ratio (by volume) 5 : 1 with PU Hardener DR 4076-0001 and the addition of Thinner DV 4900 at a ratio of 1 : 5 in relation to the lacquer/hardener mixture.

Creating the effect: pat or dab on the different colours in irregular lines. Use crunched up greaseproof paper or preferably a natural sponge to moisten the surface with Hesse Marbling solution DV 4991 and apply it to the surface until the desired effect is achieved.

Drying: 1 - 2 h / 20 °C

Top coating: 1 x 100 - 120 g/m² Hesse UNA-COLOR DB 45245-(colour tone), mixing ratio (by volume) 5 : 1 with PU Hardener DR 4076-0001 and the addition of 10 - 20 % Thinner DV 4900 in relation to the lacquer/hardener mixture

Drying: at least 16 h / 20 °C

Packable: at least 48 h / 20 °C
