HYPERION TI 130
HYPERION sets new standards in the finishing of content-rich woods, such as oak, for perfect water-based surface finishes in white and pastel shades. This innovative, water-based product has been specially developed to prevent unwanted yellow discolouration, which often occurs when using white stains and lacquers. HYPERION’s highly effective isolation layer reliably blocks tannins to ensure a permanent brilliant white finish.
Thanks to its unique formula, HYPERION is compatible with both water-based and solvent-based lacquers in combination with HYDRO stains. It not only preserves the luminosity of white pigmented stains, but also reduces the subsequent roughening caused by the water-based stain. The simple application - whether with a brush or spray gun - makes the product the perfect solution.
In combination with a HYDRO filler and a white-pigmented HYDRO colour lacquer, HYPERION effectively prevents any yellow discolouration of the surface and ensures an even, radiant appearance. The product can moreover also be used beneath clear water-based lacquers to prevent unwanted colour changes and retain the wood’s natural beauty.
HYPERION opens up completely new opportunities to create high-quality, water-based wood surfaces. The result is a perfect white surface that meets the highest aesthetic demands and guarantees long-lasting, professional quality.

| Processing information | Application:HYPERION is applied like a conventional stain, either by spraying or with a brush. Further processing can take place after a drying time of around 2 hours at room temperature. Intermediate sanding after isolation is not necessary, but a light smoothing can be carried out if required (do not sand through!).Staining:After the stain has been applied, the surface is coated with water-based or solvent-based lacquers to achieve an optimum protective and colour effect.Colour coating:For colour lacquer structures, COOL-FILL and COOL-COLOR can be applied and processed as usual. When working with colour lacquers, make sure that HYPERION is applied in a maximum layer thickness of 40 g/m² to ensure uniform colouring and optimum adhesion. When working with Hevea brasiliensis, HYPERION can only partially prevent discolouration. For optimum results, we recommend using COOL-PROTECT HI 6600-9343.Transparent coating:Depending on the wood, a slight brightening effect may occur when COOL-TOP is applied to content-rich dark woods (not stained). This should be taken into account during processing. |
| Special notes | The product cannot be mixed directly with the stain or lacquer.Clean work equipment thoroughly after use with HYPERION. |
