MEGA-PU Basecoat DG 417
MEGA-PUR Base DG 417 is ideally suited as a base coat for closed-pore and light fast coatings even on critical wood species with matching Hesse intermediate and finishing lacquers in gloss levels dull matt to high gloss. This acrylate-based product has good body and dries to be very transparent and can also be used without problems on bleached woods. It can also be used as a sealant for MDF edges in damp environments.

Special notes | When used as a coating material with low flame-spread characteristics complying with SOLAS 74 Reg. II-2/3, II-2/5, II-2/6 and X/3, as amended, IMO Resolution MSC.36(63)-(1994 HSC-Code) 7, IMO Resolution MSC.97(73)-(2000 HSC-Code) 7, IMO MSC/Circ. 1120, this product is only compatible with other technically suitable and approved products. For use as MDF edge-insulation under colour lacquer systems, treat the lacquer / hardener mixture with 20 - 30 % Thinner (DV 4900 / DV 490 or DV 4994 / DV 494). When used on bleached woods and artificial veneers, the first basecoat application requires the addition of 50 % ( DV 4994 / DV 494 or DV 4955) in relation to the lacquer/hardener mixture. Always apply another coat on the same day after prior sanding at 320 grit.“A risk assessment was undertaken according to Directive 2014/90/EU, Annex II, Section 3. This coating does not pose a physical risk to health nor a risk to the environment when cured and dried.” |
