PICEA Conifer Wood Stain WN produces brilliantly clear stain finishes with a positive effect. The dark growth rings of the softwood

softwood are accentuated in their colour tone. It is universally usable under both solvent-based and water-based coating systems

PICEA Conifer Wood Stain WNS, on the other hand, also contains pigments for white to pastel colour tones under PU coatings.

These latest-generation dyestuffs produce vibrant yet lightfast stain finishes.

The XBK 7 stain card, featuring 15 beautiful conifer wood colour tones for color consultation with your customers, rounds out the product line.

Areas of application

PICEA positive stains are used on European softwoods such as spruce, pine, fir and larch. A strikingly positive effect is achieved on sanded, brushed and hewn wood, as desired on interior fittings and in furniture making.

Processing information Apply lightly and evenly by spraying without spreading. Do not forcibly dry. Stir stains well before and during processing.
Special notes Cleanse resinous woods (e.g. pine, Carolina pine) before staining. All stains from the same range can be mixed with one another.

Wall unit in spruce/fir, matte finish

Stain: 1 x 50 g/m² (well moistened!) Hesse PICEA conifer wood stain WN 20103

Drying: > 4 h / 20 °C

Primer: 1 x 100–120 g/m² Hesse HYDRO-PUR Natural Wood Effect HDE 54500, mixing ratio (by volume) 10 : 1 with

hardener HDR 5091

Intermediate drying: 3 h / 20°C

Intermediate sanding of the lacquer: Grit 280–320 (dust removal)

Top coat: 1 x 100–120 g/m² Hesse HYDRO-PU Natural Wood Effect HDE 54500, mixing ratio (by volume) 10 : 1

with hardener HDR 5091

Packable: after at least 16 h / 20 °C

Intermediate sanding grain: 320–400 grit (dust removal)

Top coat: 1 x 100–130 g/m² FANTASTIC-CLEAR DE 4877x (gloss level), mixing ratio (by volume) 10 : 1 with PU hardener DR 4071, add 10–20% DV 4900 based on the paint/hardener mixture

Packable: after at least 16 hours at 20 °C
