PU Metallic-topcoat DU 45457-99xx(effect)
Our PU Metallic and Pearl Effect lacquers in the DU 45457-990xx range are light fast, two component PU acrylic resin top coat lacquers for light and dark colour tones that are pretreated with the DB 45245-(colour tone), DB 45205-(colour tone) and DB 48885-(colour tone) colour lacquer ranges. These products can be used to create striking effects with a high brilliance. PU Metallic Top coat DU 45457-99015 is especially suitable for achieving an outstanding depth effect on a black substrate. Light colour tones take on a lustrous sheen with the specially configured “Pearl Effect” DU 45457-99060.

| Processing information | Single-coat application at 80 - 100 g/m² is possible on prepared colour lacquer surfaces. In a mixing ratio (by volume) 5 : 1 with PU Hardener DR 4076-0001, after prior mixing in of 5 % Glass lacquer additive EL 460-0025 as a lacquer component, it can also be used for direct coating on glass. The glass surface must be carefully cleaned and this should be performed using Cleaning thinner ZD 101. If a coloured finish is subsequently to be applied, please also harden UNA-COLOR DB 45245-(colour tone) or UNA-THIX-COLOR DB 45205-(colour tone) with PU Hardener DR 4076-0001 at a mixing ratio (by volume) 5 : 1. |
| Special notes | Metallic lacquers must be uniformly applied. The application quantity, application methods and drying conditions all significantly influence colour tone and effect. Pre-priming is possible depending on the desired finish and substrate, for example by using DB 48885-(colour tone), DB 45245-(colour tone) or DB 45205-(colour tone). The reflection and multicoloured effects can only be achieved on a black substrate. |
