2C HYDRO PLANET-STONE basecoat clear HDM 54802-0901
The 2C HYDRO basecoat PLANET-STONE HDM 54802-0901 is mixed with one of the PLANET-STONE stone powders and applied to a substrate. This creates a top coat with real stone, which is also visually and mechanically similar to solid stone. By choosing the PLANET-STONE stone powder, the color of the substrate, as well as the degree of sanding and the choice of finish coatings, different effects can be achieved, from rough to polished stone in different gloss levels from matt to high gloss.

| Processing information | Add PLANET-STONE powder gravimetrically in a ratio of 60 parts powder to 40 parts basecoat. Stir the whole well. To ensure a homogenous material flow, the material should be diluted 5-10% with water.Since the different powders behave differently, you can vary the mixing ratio from 50 parts powder to 50 parts HYDRO basecoat to 80 parts powder to 20 parts HYDRO basecoat.Apply the mixture in several thin coats with short initial drying to avoid brayers until the desired appearance or substrate coverage is achieved.Alternative proceeding:The object can also be painted with the basecoat only and then turned while wet in a container of stone powder or sprinkled directly.Processing with Airmix, Airless or 2C line is only possible if the basecoat is painted without the PLANET-STONE powder.After complete hardening, the PLANET-STONE layer is covered with one or more coats of COOL-TOP HE 6509x(gloss level) within 24 hours, sanding between coats to achieve a certain smoothness/roughness. Here you can choose from a very rough to a smooth polished surface. The gloss level of the final coating is of course a deciding factor in the desired end effect.PLANET-STONE is a natural product and is subject to certain variations in colour tone. Therefore, sufficient material should be ordered for an object. Color deviations cannot be ruled out in the case of subsequent deliveries. |
