Certified savings thanks to environmentally friendly IBCs

CO₂ emissions significantly reduced

For us, sustainability is not just a buzzword, but an integral part of our corporate strategy – both in our coatings and in the packaging we use. Back in March, we reported that we were switching to the innovative ‘Green Layer’ container type. In this new generation of IBCs, 35% of the plastics in the middle layer are made from recycled material.

This reduces the CO₂ emissions of each individual container by 6.8 kg without compromising on quality or safety.

We can now prove this step in black and white: our container manufacturer SCHÜTZ has issued us with two sustainability certificates for 2024.

Details of the savings

These certificates impressively demonstrate how significant our contribution to resource conservation and climate protection already is:

The environmentally friendly recycling of our IBCs has saved 141.6 tonnes of steel and 55.9 tonnes of plastic. This corresponds to a CO₂ reduction of 393.3 tonnes.
The additional use of ‘Green Layer’ IBCs in 2024 saved 11.5 tonnes of plastic and 17.9 tonnes of CO₂ compared to containers made from new materials.

These figures clearly show that we are already making a measurable contribution to climate protection through the use of sustainable packaging solutions.

And we are consistently pursuing this path – step by step towards greater sustainability in all areas.
