Floor-to-ceiling doors with sustainable Hydro coating systems
Blomus, renowned for its minimalist interior design, has built a new corporate headquarters in Sundern (Sauerland) – and has consistently applied its own design ethos right down to the finishes. A defining design feature of the new building, which covers around 4,000 m², is the floor-to-ceiling doors, which were manufactured from MDF by the Schnöde joinery workshop and coated with our hydro-based paint systems.
The 1K hydro filler COOL-FILL was used for the primer coat, followed by a top coat of the 2K hydro colour lacquer PERFECT-COLOR – both with a sustainability score of over 74 per cent. The lacquer was applied using the Airmix spraying method, ensuring an even, high-quality finish with a fine texture. The surfaces meet the highest technical and aesthetic standards and blend seamlessly into the interior design.
A project that demonstrates: sustainability and premium quality are not mutually exclusive; they complement one another.

These were the requirements for the painted surfaces in the shop fitting of the exclusive men's outfitter suitery. The result is very impressive.
This ‘customised interior fittings’ is the result of professional and cooperative collaboration between the client, interior outfitter, trade partner and industry. Many thanks to suitery – quality made to measure, to the carpentry and interior design firm König Holzhandwerk + Raumkonzept and to Franz Habisreutinger for the excellent implementation.
We supplied the durable, dull matt HYDRO PU Colour Lacquer. The minimal content of solvent of less than 5% after hardening makes HYDRO PU MATO interesting for sustainable construction projects in accordance with DGNB.
‘Self-healing’ is what makes this light-fast colour lacquer so special. Should the surface become deformed due to impact, impact or scratches, despite the highly resistant surface, it can be repaired by simply wiping it with a wet cloth.

The University of Hohenheim is setting standards when it comes to sustainability. It’s where architects Markus Lanz and Nicolas Schwager have created a real showpiece. All surfaces in the building feature pure wood. The PURA-NATURA HYDRO lacquer used on pine or fir is particularly matt, and it in no way changes the intrinsic colour of the wood. The surfaces are particularly scratch resistant, light fast and resilient – even in terms of footprints or common household chemicals. It may also interest you to know that this modern, water-based lacquer meets all significant specifications from certification systems including LEED (Leadership in Energy und Environmental Design), the German Sustainable Building Council (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen), the Assessment System for Sustainable Building (Bewertungssystem Nachhaltiges Bauen – BNB) and Dubai Green Building.

Conrad-Shipyard from Gdansk in Poland specialises in building luxury yachts of steel and aluminium up to 100 metres in length. The shipyard employs over 400 specialists in shipbuilding, complex technology, old craftsmanship and modern yacht building.
The wooden fittings in the skylounge, saloon, VIP cabins and owner suite were finished in light oak. The coating was done with our FANTASTIC-NATURA. The surface looks like raw, sanded wood and perfectly underlines the noble and exclusive overall impression of the interior.
